1. Information We Collect

• To send you order updates and, if you opt in, promotional offers. You can unsubscribe from marketing messages at any time.
• To comply with applicable law, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

3. Payment Processing

Online payments made through the Service are processed by our licensed third-party payment gateway partners, currently including SSLCommerz, bKash, and EPS (Easy Payment System). When you choose to pay online, you are redirected to that partner's own secure payment page, and your card, mobile wallet, or internet banking details are submitted directly to them under their own security standards (including PCI-DSS, where applicable) — not to BuySmiley.

We receive confirmation of whether a payment succeeded, the amount paid, and a transaction reference, which we use to mark your order as paid. If you choose Cash on Delivery, no online payment information is collected at all — payment is handled in person at the time of delivery.

4. Who We Share Your Information With

We share personal information only where necessary to run the Service:

• Payment gateways (SSLCommerz, bKash, EPS) — to process and verify your online payment.
• Courier and logistics partners — your name, phone number, and delivery address, so they can deliver your order.
• Retail and wholesale suppliers — for items sourced from AliExpress, 1688, or other supplier platforms, we share the shipping details necessary for that supplier to prepare and ship your item to you.
• Service providers who help us operate the Service (e.g. hosting, analytics), under obligations to protect your data.
• Legal and safety purposes — if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of BuySmiley, our customers, or the public.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) between your browser and our servers, restricted staff access to customer data based on role, and secure storage of account passwords. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to respond quickly to any issue.

6. Cookies and Local Storage

We use cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in, remember items in your cart between visits, remember whether you're browsing in Retail or Wholesale mode, and understand how the Service is used so we can improve it. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the Service (such as staying signed in or keeping items in your cart) may not work properly if you do.

7. Data Retention

We retain order and account information for as long as your account is active and as needed to comply with our legal, accounting, and reporting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account as described in Section 8, subject to records we are required to keep by law.
