Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 1, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar browser storage BuySmiley uses, and why. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies and Local Storage?

Cookies are small text files a website can store in your browser. Local storage is a similar browser feature that lets a site remember information between visits. We use both to make the Service work properly — primarily local storage, for the features described below.

2. What We Use Cookies and Local Storage For

  • Staying signed in: so you don't have to log in again on every page.
  • Your shopping cart: so items you've added remain in your cart between visits.
  • Shopping mode: remembering whether you're browsing in Retail or Wholesale mode.
  • Shipping selections: remembering the shipping method/category you chose for a dropship or wholesale item while you continue shopping.
  • Security: helping us detect and prevent fraudulent orders and abuse of the Service.

We do not currently use third-party advertising or analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel). If this changes, we will update this policy.

3. Cookies Set by Payment Gateways

When you pay online, you are temporarily redirected to our payment partner's own page (SSLCommerz, bKash, or EPS). Those pages may set their own cookies under their own privacy and cookie policies, which are separate from this one — we do not control them.

4. Managing Cookies and Local Storage

You can clear cookies and local storage, or block them entirely, through your browser's settings. Doing so may sign you out, empty your cart, or reset your shopping mode preference, since those features rely on this storage to work. We don't require you to accept cookies to browse product pages, but placing an order requires staying signed in through the checkout process.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy if what we use cookies/local storage for changes. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
